Birth | calculated March 9, 1808 Note: Tombstone reads: Joseph Arnold, died 1-20-1869, Aged 60 yr 10 mo, 11 days (calculates to 09 MR 1808) Note: All indications are that our Joseph was the son shown in the 1810 Muhlenberg Co, KY and 1820 Warrick Co, KY census recaps for James Arnold (I10196), son of Josiah, born about 1785, and wife Nancy Keith (I10197).

Marriage | Elizabeth W Coe — View this family April 19, 1828 (Age 20 years) Note: Ceremony performed by Joseph Arnold, b.1791, as Warrick County's first Justice of the Peace. If our Joseph is the son of James Arnold (m.Nancy Keith), as we suspect, then the marriage was performed by our Joseph's uncle.

Census | 1830 (Age 21 years) Note: Our Joseph appears along with both James Arnold and Joseph Arnold as the three Arnolds listed in Warrick Co, IN's 1830 Federal Census. If our Joseph is the son of James, as we suspect, he also appeared in the Warrick Co, IN 1820 census data as did both James and Joseph (b.1791), who migrated from Muhlenberg Co, KY to Warrick Co, IN about the same time between 1810 and 1820, approx. 1814. "Joseph Arnold - Age 45 - Married - Born KY"
From "History and Families, Pike County, Indiana 1816-1987", Pike Co.
Historical Society, Petersburg, IN, Turner Publishing Co., Limited
edition. Article submitted by Robert F. Bruner, whose wife is a descendant of William and Allen Arnold: Joseph and Elizabeth had previously lived in Warrick County, IN. They moved to Pike County inthe 1840s. They were married in Warrick County by the prominentJoseph Arnold, who came to Warrick in 1814."
This was Joseph's uncle, even though our Joseph is listed as 'Joseph Jr.' in an 1840 census. In this book, Joseph's DOB is given as March 19, 1808, Muhlenberg County, KY, possibly near Greenville, but his headstone information varies from this date.
