The Shelbyville Daily Democrat Wednesday, September 20, 1905 Page 1 -------------- Invitations are out announcing the wedding of Mr. Harry Moberly of Union township, and Miss Mildred Major of Shelby township. The wedding will occur at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Major, on Thursday evening, October the fifth, at eight o'clock. After the wedding the bride and groom will go to Ohio on a short trip. The young couple will reside on a farm in Washington township and will carry to their new home the best wishes of a large circle of friends for a long and happy married life. The Shelbyville Democrat Monday, May 27, 1907 ---------- HIRAM DEWITT DIED EARLY THIS MORNING ---------- Prominent and Highly Respected Resident of Sugar Creek Township Passed Away -- Funeral Services to be Held Friday ---------- Hiram W. Dewitt, one of the county's prominent residents, died at his home in Sugar Creek township at two o'clock this morning. He was aged sixty-five years, seven months and twelve days. He is survived by a wife and by three sons and a daughter by a former marriage. These are Thomas Dewitt, William Dewitt of Blue Ridge and Maggie Dewitt. One brother, David Dewitt, also survives, as do two sisters, Mrs. John Moberly and Mrs. Ann Talbert. The funeral services will be held at the Union M. P. church at nine-thrity Friday morning, the Rev. Mr. Schwartzkopf officiating. The Red Men's lodge of Boggstown will participate in the services. The interment will be in the Bennett cemetery in charge of Edwards & Hageman. Mr. Dewitt during his long career had earned the respect and esteem of a multitude of friends and these unite in extending to the relatives their most sincere sympathy. Obituary - Mary Elizabeth Moberly 02 JUN 1923, The Indianapolis Daily Star Shelbyville - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Moberly, 70 years old, wife of John M. Moberly, ex-commissioner of Shleby county, is dead at their home east of here. She had been ill for six months of a complication of diseases. Surviving, besides the husband, are four sons, Charles Moberly, Frank Moberly, Harry Moberly and Oris Moberly, all of Shelby county; one sister, Mrs. Ann Talbert, Shelby county.
