Note: 1891, December 9, "DIED: In this village, Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m. after a long and weary struggle for life with that fell destroyer, consumption, Annette H., wife of F. C. Zauss. Mrs. Zauss was a Miss Jenkins, of Waldron, Ind., and was married at Shelbyville, Ind., September 28, 1880, removing with her husband and soon afterwards to this place where the family have since resided. Three children have graced this union, two sons and one daughter, two of whom, aged respectively six years and eighteen months are still living; but one a boy of two years, died several years ago.....funeral obsequies, which take place at 2 p.m. today at the Congregational church, conducted by Rev. F. G. McHenry. Mrs. Zauss will be buried in the Park Hill cemtery and the remains of her little boy will be exhumed and placed at her side." S. Syracuse Journal, dated 11 Dec 1891, page 5, column 2.
